I decided to hit up the trail after work. I didn’t make it TO the falls, because – well I am slow and I take pictures! I will have to hit it up at noon on a nice cloudy afternoon this summer.
After about a mile, I knew I was not going to get to the 2.5 miles in mark to the actual water falls, but I also knew I heard running water! Off the trail and into the woods we go!
Yes the keys are back! I have another “series” I’m working on, but I do think that will be an instagram only gig!
Very worth the dashing down and following the water! Also, it was 74 in the woods and a nice, cool, 68 down here. Also, prettier!
I had to scamper around a lot, got dirty, and sweaty and had a blast. Part of the down side of being away from home is, well, being away from home. The upside, is the experience and the adventures I can have.
After work I decided, since it was nice to hit up a few places and see how the water was flowing and what things I could snap pics of!
Sometimes even brown on brown makes for great photographs.
My wife and I went out leaf peeping when I was up home.
I took the above with my cell phone, as much as some folks say they “look the same” as DSLRs, I can always see the difference.
Nothing like the colors in Maine. ‘Nuff said!
I hadn’t ever been to Fish River Falls, neither had my wife, who got all adventurous on me and we trekked along the side of the river for a bit, running around on rocks. fun!
I had happy feet one night and Wendy (I’m blaming her again, yes!) had spoken about the Kancamagus – and so off I went!
I did a bunch of “five minute photo stops”.
And here are the results!
Not bad, right?
flowing water everywhere! I’m going to be an expert by the time this assignment is over with and I don’t mind in the least.
And that’s a wrap!
Driving up Mt Washington is super fun, and a little scary for someone who isn’t into heights and have bouts of vertigo.
Be ready for wind! And some of the most gorgeous views ever.
The problem with such views is no perspective at times, so things look flat and while gorgeous, lacks texture. So, that’s why the keys! and any other objects I can use to give things perspective as well as a break in the view.
It was a fun day, and again, windy!
