After work, I decided to go out galivanting. I came across a covered bridge.
I like the above picture, framing it was fun, since there were cars whizzing by me at times.
Some of the reflections in the water were stellar that day! As well as the clouds that came in.
Capturing flowing water in the full sun, without an ND filter, is a fun task. I had to do a lot of fiddling with my settings.
Of course, a conversation with Wendy (and a pt) led me to Swift River! Cute covered bridge with some fun water. I’m hoping I’m here when it thaws, the water must be amazing!
Photographing running water like this is far, far better on a cloudy day as you are allowing your lens to stay “open” longer to capture the motion, making that blur. Sunny days means a wash out or you can use an ND filter. Which I have, but am still learning to master.
The hiking season is slowly coming to a close – but I’m hoping to get some good “cold/winter” ones in before there is to much snow on the ground to do it!
