While some were watching fireworks, I was watching the sunset.
The pinks and purples rocked that night!
Taken behind the former Notre Dame Church. Then along the road and behind another neighbors house. It’s a great spot for sunsets!
There is a little cabin and a pond back there and the reflections were stellar!
Another night and another great sunset – and a few up close pics of those lovely purple flowers that litter our back yard and from the previous evenings moon rising.
I happen to be fortunate enough to live just down the street from a great old church that boasts the BEST Angels on its twin towers.
I also happen to get to see some of the best sunsets Northern Maine has to offer from my back yard.
I had some blankets to toss into the laundry last weekend and decided, on the way there, that the sun was just right to stop and check out this old barn in Grand Isle with the Acadian Flag painted on it.
Barn – Grand isle, maine
No the paint didn’t bleed! This is just how lovely the reflection was.
Rusty and old truck
After the laundry mat, I took a lil jaunt up a back road and snagged a few pics of this brilliant old truck and a few other items there.
Don’t ask me the name of this bird, he was knocked out in the middle of the road. I pulled over, kept him close for a while and he woke up – and sat on my car for a while, then took off!
A bleary winter day – doesn’t mean there isn’t beauty around!
A few years ago, I lost all my photos. My backup drive went corrupt. I was able to save most, but I did end up with having lost 2011 and some of 2012. Thankfully, I did have some backed up here, on wordpress as well as a few on disc, remember that?
The above taken along the R&R tracks out back.
Both of these above were taken on Parent’s Mountain in front of my house.
This shot – took me a while to set up, mostly because the sun never quite hit at the right place. I had to do a bit of – scouting to get JUST the shot!
More perspective shots from Parent’s Mountain!
