One of my first digital shots. I was walking our dog, Storm by the tracks and off these guys flew over head. I took this from “the hip”
This is Storm, she was sad this day because the retaining wall had literally fallen – thanks to the flooding!
The house pictures are my friend, Kasey’s home. I did a series of black and white and color and the B/W are FAR better looking than the color- and then Mr. Hummingbird.
A left over from the previous fall – in clear water.
NOT Fiddleheads! I just liked the light and shadow – my reward for this pic – a wet butt an a great picture!
Granite Quarry off Oceanview in Stonington, ME!
Scott’s Landing – found as is! I just lined up the shot!
The great thing about being a Traveling PTA – well, the travel!
I adored New Mexico – vastly different than the eastern side of the US – and I’d go again (I totally want to retire in Alamogordo!)
Angry Sky – pretty much says it all!
I love working on perspective – getting down on my belly, back, looking up or down at something. We typically look at the world from one POV – standing upright and head on.
One of my VERY few cell phone pictures – and HDR’ed in photoimpact – I couldn’t miss out on this really cool looking metal and rope bell hanging there.
This was sort of my “rust” series. It’s amazing what mother nature does to the world at times.
Sand Beach, Stonington, ME – This has been my BEST selling photo. I had so many requests via Facebook that I sent along canvas prints – there are great colors in this shot!
I purchased a set of Macro lens – so now I am looking at the world in a whole new way – mostly down on my belly or kneeling in the muck taking pics
I found this little guy crawling around on my porch last week. Oh so very slowly.
I have 4 different lenses – x10, x4, x2 and x1 – Autofocus is close to useless while using 10 – I can also stack them for more magnifications
I’m a “fan” of the whole focus/blur – so I use the P setting often – one thing off to the side, with the blur washing out to one side.
