10-10-2020–Random shots of the week

I usually carry my camera w/me during my work days and do 5 minute photoshoots.

I swung into the Frenchville boat landing and snapped a few photos.

Then a few moments of backyard beauty, before the storm a few weeks ago.

And a few shots outdoors, of a squirrel!  And our backyard thru a lensball, and my tiny vial of very small sea glass Smile

Out and About–09-04-2020

A few photos of my drive down to Machias as well as some during my work week.

IMG_2248IMG_2242IMG_2245IMG_2246IMG_2247

Way, way, way out back behind Lubec, lives a patient.  It’s a rocky, “oh my god, where am I!” road.  And this tree.  I don’t know why it caught my attention, but it did!  Nothing spectacular about it, yet – in the fog and how the fog was reflecting the light.

IMG_2276IMG_2252IMG_2255IMG_2257IMG_2259IMG_2261IMG_2262IMG_2264IMG_2265IMG_2266IMG_2267IMG_2270IMG_2272IMG_2274IMG_2275

A quick five min photo shoot of an old gash station!

Sunflowers & Sunsets–08-19-2020

Some random photos from Lubec to Northern Maine

On the drive up from Machias I came across a field of sunflowers and the sky made a great contrast.

IMG_2112IMG_2113IMG_2114IMG_2116IMG_2123IMG_2124

On my drive to Machias, there is this oddly interesting tree – w/a single tiger lilly under it.  I thought it would make for a few good photos.

Just a deer along my drive.

IMG_2129IMG_2130IMG_2133IMG_2134IMG_2135IMG_2136IMG_2137IMG_2138IMG_2139IMG_2139-2IMG_2153IMG_2140IMG_2147IMG_2148IMG_2148-2IMG_2151

I decided after work, you know, on a day of 150 miles driven – to go for a drive.  I ended up in Lubec and a fiery sunset ensued.

IMG_2194IMG_2202IMG_2203IMG_2205IMG_2206IMG_2207IMG_2208IMG_2209IMG_2210IMG_2214IMG_2215IMG_2216IMG_2217IMG_2218IMG_2211IMG_2223IMG_2219

More sunflowers!  This time in Grand Isle, near Misty Meadows.  I wanted to see what sort of gauzy effect I could achieve and I think I did a decent job on a few.

Drive Home–09-12-2019

The monthly drive north – It cannot be prettier this time of year!

Some interesting clouds on the drive up this time around!

The harvest moon!  Full and bright and bringing in the fall weather.

This is Victoria’s fave tree and I’m slowly collecting photos of it and someday I’ll make her a kick ass gift!

An Impromptu dash around the valley for some sunset shots.

4-7-2018–Can You See The World Through a Drop of Water?

Snow, snow and more snow!

hdr-IMG_9484-2

Echo is still loving the snow, but I’m anxious for the grass!

This was the snow on my windshield.  It looked wicked!

I’ve purchased these cheap focal lens – to do macro photography.  I do need to invest in some lens extensions – while the lens filters do a good job, I’d love a better photo!

The Victoria Project

My lovely sister-in-law Vic, the mom of my lovely nephew Rhys loves this tree.  I do too, it’s large, it’s right along the road and it does this cool canopy thing.  So, today, I started the project.  Vic would like it in the 4 seasons – so this is my end of fall/beginning of winter shots.  I’d love to get frost, and the 1st snow on the branches, maybe a sunrise shot or two.  So, the camera is in the car and I’m going to be trying to get shots of that tree Smile  — all shots are unedited.
