Moose!  This is a little one.  This is a scanned photo, in fact, I had my old film Rebel with  me this day.

When I came back from New Mexico, I had gotten a new lens – since I hike, and need to haul water, etc with  me.  I wanted a more “all in one” lens.  I picked up a Tamron 18-270mm.  It’s a midgrade lens, and sometimes you get some noise.  The editing program I use though, I can easily get rid of the noise.  This is one of my first shots with it.  I really love the lens.

ECHO!  The newest addition to our family (and the LSAT for a while) – yeah, if ONLY she stayed this size!

A lot about photography is about timing, and sometimes luck!  I was lucky to spend time in the MidCoast area, and the rainbow shots were 1000% luck of timing.

The great thing about being a Traveling PTA – well, the travel!

I adored New Mexico – vastly different than the eastern side of the US – and I’d go again (I totally want to retire in Alamogordo!)

I love working on perspective – getting down on my belly, back, looking up or down at something.  We typically look at the world from one POV – standing upright and head on.

One of my VERY few cell phone pictures – and HDR’ed in photoimpact – I couldn’t miss out on this really cool looking metal and rope bell hanging there.

This was sort of my “rust” series.  It’s amazing what mother nature does to the world at times.

Sand Beach, Stonington, ME – This has been my BEST selling photo.  I had so many requests via Facebook that I sent along canvas prints – there are great colors in this shot!

Haystack Mountain

My wife, god love her, as I do, isn’t an outdoors person. I am. ATVs, hiking, walking in the woods, going off and finding abandon houses, tramping along the railroad bed. But, I did get her to climb Haystack Mountain! Whooot!

We often forget what is just in our back yard, and the gorgeous world that is around us, every single day. Cotton Candy Clouds on a Bed of Blue….

A few of these might make it up onto our wall one day. Was a great, short stint up rocky terrain.

{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. Inspired by SouleMama.
