When a girl is bored!

I was working on shadows, and light, and using the white background to my advantage.

Picking up things around the house and making for a scene is a good stretch of imagination.

I do like the glitter.  I don’t know why – it does capture great on “film”.

The background is some cooking implement I found at the bottom of the cabinets.  And my lego heroes!  The rainbow is popsicle sticks that I glued to a backboard.

I wanted to run a test on what the dominos look like in the light and how shadowy they get, and how well they rebound light.

The coils? Cat toys.  My mini buckets and a bag of marbles I bought at the dollar store.

My popsicle stick background.  My keys.  Smile

A ring my wife bought me ages ago.  I wanted to see if I could capture the green reflection on the gold.

IMG_9262IMG_9268IMG_9263IMG_9265IMG_9267

I’ve some crystals hiding around and the sun was hitting it just right to capture the rainbows on the white background.

T-t-thats all folks!

Quarantine Photo Shoot 2–3.31.2020

Still locked up (not really, but you all know what I mean!) and today I banged out a few photos in about 20-30 mins.  This is keeping me on my toes, so I’ll keep doing them!

A little history about that paperweight.  My bestest friend in grad school, Jason – left in 1982/83 – and the next time he visited (we were 12ish?) Jason tossed this box at me, and almost took my head off (Yes he loves me!) and inside was this – I’ve had it ever since and I always keep it where I can see it.  And today, it came out to play Smile

That is not a normal sized slinky!  It’s a mini 🙂 – something I must have picked up somewhere.  I also bought some cheap white boards – Again, working on a lot of different post processing methods.

IMG_8946IMG_8952IMG_8954IMG_8958IMG_8959IMG_8959-2IMG_8961IMG_8964IMG_8964-2IMG_8965IMG_8968IMG_8972IMG_8970

The sand is from the White Sands in New Mexico.  I played around with some texture and backing – and moving around a light source.

IMG_8984IMG_8975IMG_8975-2IMG_8977IMG_8978IMG_8979IMG_8980IMG_8980-2

I found a bunch of free plug ins/presets – and have been playing around w/them and I have to admit – some of them are great!  This concludes my latest fast photo shoot!

3-10-2018

I had been feeling super uninspired lately – then on a day Jules was working – I had a little bit of good light and decided to take the bull by the horns and snaps a few pics of this glorious camera a friend of mine gave me.

12.28.2017–Cold Day in the Mid-Coast

For weeks!  I’d been passing this “crate Christmas tree”.  First it was snowing, then it was cloudy, another day the sun was to low – but then, finally!  Voila!  Sun topper!

Then the next morning – this phenomenoun known as “sea fog” is what a patient called it – began – why, cuz it was so DARN COLD!!!  25 below.  I mean, when the ocean freezes, that’s saying something, right?

Then a cold sunset!  I hit up one place – not sure what cove its called (Weed or Webb, not sure!)

hdr-IMG_9270

I bent down to pick up that lil sliver of GREEN sea glass (see it!) and thought – oh – frozen seaweed… what will look like up close…..
